SPREAG, (v) (Irish, FOCLÓIR GAEILGE—BÉARLA):
to urge, incite; arouse, inspire; prompt, encourage
Spreag is an Irish word that embodies what I have loved in both therapy and supervision. I believe a good supervisor and therapist should urge the person in front of them to see their deep truths, inspire clients and supervisees to be their best selves, prompt those around them to help each person find the best solution for them, and encourage everyone to be their best self.
